	Dr. Koenig is a Professor of Pediatrics at Saint Louis University and Associate Chair for Basic Research in the Department of Pediatrics. Dr. Koenig works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at SSM's Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center and St. Mary's Health Center, but her primary focus is research, especially as it pertains to neutrophils (white blood cells) and their function in premature infants. Clinical interests include: neonatal hematology and general neonatology.
