Advanced Technology
Our skilled physicians use state-of-the-art technology to detect health concerns very early. In fact, we can detect heart problems before birth and help families prepare before their baby is born.
Some key features of our new heart center include:
-
Fetal echocardiography testing
-
Exercise stress-testing
-
Digital echo technology, including cardiac ultrasound machine with advanced 3D heart imaging in "real time"
"This new 3D equipment allows us to see heart structures such as the valves with greater detail and clarity," says Cardiology Director Kenneth Schowengerdt, Jr., M.D. "It's about the closest thing you can get to the true appearance of the heart other than what is directly seen at the time of surgery."
This state-of-the-art technology, combined with a dedicated Cardiology team, ensures the best possible care for your child.
Other Locations
In addition to serving patients at our main campus, our Cardiology team travels around the St. Louis and Illinois area. Learn more about our Close to Home locations.
