The St. Louis Fetal Care Institute is the only comprehensive fetal care center in middle America, in that we are one of the few programs in the U.S. that can diagnose life-threatening fetal conditions and treat them with open and minimally invasive fetal surgery.  Our nationally recognized physicians offer exceptional care for expectant mothers and their developing babies.  The personal touch comes from our coordinating nurse, Katie Francis, who will walk you through the treatment process and is available at any time to answer questions you or your obstetrician may have.

We work closely with expectant mothers and their obstetricians to help diagnose fetal challenges and apply proven solutions, from needle-based procedures to minimally invasive fetoscopy and open fetal surgery. The Institute is based at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center, and we collaborate with SSM St. Mary’s Health Center and physician specialists from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
