 AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring Course 

Participants will gain advanced knowledge and skills to manage complex maternal-fetal case scenarios.

Program fees

 $25 for RNs, $55 for MDs.

You may pay at the door. Lunch is on your own.

Please note

The fundamental course is designed for nurses with minimal experience in fetal monitoring (1 year or less). The advanced course is designed for nurses who have developed a professional practice that utilizes fetal monitoring interpretation skills. Illinois programs are partially funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The AWHONN Courses are not introductory level courses and require a minimum of 6 months experience interpreting fetal monitor tracings. A separate brochure will be sent out for the AWHONN programs.

SSM Health St. Mary’s Fetal Monitoring Class (both Advanced and Fundamentals) are approved for 5.5 contact hours or 5.5 CME credit hours.

AWHONN provides 8 contact hours (or 6 CME credits) for their advanced fetal monitoring class.

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - St. Louis is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Midwest Multistate Division, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
