Benefits of Volunteering at Cardinal Glennon
Most volunteers and staff will tell you that the satisfaction they receive from giving their time to patients is the greatest benefit of all. However, there are other perks to being a Cardinal Glennon volunteer as well! Benefits for volunteers include:
Parking and Shuttle Service
Free parking is available for volunteers in the employee parking lot on Park Avenue, next to the Ronald McDonald House. A shuttle is available to transport you back and forth between the parking lot and the hospital.
Free Meals
Volunteers receive free meals from the cafeteria at Cardinal Glennon on days that they volunteer.
Recognition
Service pins are awarded at 100, 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 hours, and every additional 500 hours. If someone volunteers 2,500 hours, they become part of the Helping Hands Society, and their name is added to a plaque outside the hospital chapel recognizing extraordinary service.
Part of Our Family
Volunteers are members of the Glennon family, and are invited to participate in hospital events, including holiday celebrations.
Opportunity to Build References
