Volunteer Nursing Program

Your Time and Talent Can Make a Difference in a Child's Care

Volunteer Nurses at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center
Provide One-on-One Patient Care With a Flexible Schedule

Do you miss caring for children and their families, not just with your medical expertise, but also with your compassion? Your time and talents are a valuable resource, and they make you the perfect fit for our volunteer nursing program at Cardinal Glennon.

Volunteer nurses contribute caring, experience and assessment skills, to make a difference in a child's life. They have the opportunity to assist the primary nurse in providing care at a child's bedside, preferably during four hours of volunteer time per week.

With a volunteer nurse by his or her side, a child receives even more time and undivided attention from a skilled caregiver. Cardinal Glennon will provide all training and education.

To apply or learn more, please contact Pat Wiseman, volunteer director, at (314) 577-5696, or sumbit an online application.

In addition to helping children and working side by side with friends, volunteer nurses enjoy:

Free meals in the new Glennon Cafe

  Free parking

  Volunteer nurse uniform

Inclusion in all Glennon appreciation events
