Trauma and Abuse Patients

Cardinal Glennon social workers assess all children who are victims of trauma, in the Emergency Department or any hospital unit. Victims of violence and child abuse are assessed using detailed protocols. These children are protected while in the hospital and through protective arrangements post-discharge, which are coordinated by social workers.
