Queen of Peace Center
The Queen of Peace Center is a non-profit agency which provides behavioral health services exclusively for women and their children, particularly those who are uninsured and underinsured, including those who are pregnant. The Center provides recovery services for mentally ill women or those who struggle with addictions and their children.
The center is committed to helping those with co-occurring issues including:
- Alcohol, drug, and/or prescription medication abuse
- Uncontrolled drinking and drug use while pregnant
- Depression/Anxiety
- Dependency on drugs or alcohol for sleep
- Abuse of over-the-counter drugs
- Substance abuse while living in an unsafe place
- Substance abuse while having no place to live
The center uses a gender specific CSTAR program, integrating addiction treatment with psychiatric services and other specific services including housing, trauma, transportation and child care (Peace for Kids program).
