Nurses can still register for the Sr. Noreen McGowan Pediatric Nursing Conference, an annual opportunity for nurses to gain more insight and knowledge into their field.
This year's conference is Friday, Oct. 1 at the Busch Student Center, 20 North Grand Blvd. "When Exceptional Nursing Care Really Makes a Difference" is the title of the conference, which begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration and a continental breakfast. The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 24.
Liz Jazwiec, RN, is this year's keynote speaker. Jazwiec is a nationally renowned speaker and author of "Eat THAT Cookie! How Workplace Positivity Pays Off…For Individuals, Teams and Organizations."
"Our guest speakers in the morning will provide great inspiration as we consider the future of nursing,” said staff development specialist Peggy Devoy, RN. “In the afternoon, our break-out sessions will give us the
opportunity to really operationalize that vision as we consider and learn best practices in pediatric nursing."
The conference fee has been underwritten by the Sr. Noreen McGowan Endowment Fund and is free to all SSM Health Care employees. Students who show school ID pay $35, and the general public fee is $75.
A registration form for the conference is available online.
