Pediatric Rheumatology 

The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology offers comprehensive treatment for patients with juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA), systemic lupus (SLE), connective tissue diseases (CTD), Febrile Syndromes, Hypermobility, and other immunological diseases. Our laboratory focuses on immunological studies in JIA, SLE, and CTD.

Evaluation and Treatment

We treat all JIA sub-types, SLE, all CTDs, Vasculitis, Febrile Syndromes, Hypermobility, and any immunological disorder.

Our Research

We have published over 200 papers on JIA, SLE, etc. and have presented over 230 abstracts at National Meetings. Our research specializes in JIA, SLE, and Innate/Adaptive Immunity with biomarker studies in JIA. Our Pediatric Rheumatology clinic is the largest in the state of Missouri and was the first established in the state in 1968. It is also the largest in the United States.
