Pediatric Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology Department

The Imaging Center at SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center combines the most advanced pediatric diagnostic imaging in the region with a focus on comfort for children.

Patients can benefit from the latest in safe imaging technology with two new 128-slice CT scanners that offer the safest imaging for children through special dose reduction software. The new technology allows for more advanced imaging capabilities than ever with a continued focus on a child’s comfort. Children can watch their favorite movie on a flat-panel screen in the CT suite and also select a colored theme for the room.

New interactive MRI suites let young patients choose their favorite color theme using an iPad. Children can choose a favorite video to watch before the MRI and actually continue watching that same video during the MRI procedure, on a flat-screen in the ceiling above the MRI.
