Nationally ranked care. Another way our love for kids just keeps on growing.

Danis Pediatrics - St. Louis, MO

Danis Pediatric Center combines the excellence and talents of SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and Saint Louis University School of Medicine (SLUCare physicians, resident physicians and nurse practitioners) to develop a model practice to serve the area by providing world-class pediatric primary care.

Our practice is a unique blend of patient care, patient education and medical education. Our principal goal is to provide the very best care and service available for your child in all aspects of pediatrics, including physical, mental and emotional health from infancy through adolescence.

Each SLUCare physician on our staff is a faculty member at the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. We have a blend of “attending physicians” (physicians who have a wealth of experience as practitioners and now share their knowledge with residents). Our “residents” are licensed physicians who have graduated from medical school and have chosen to become pediatricians.

Upon registering with the Danis Pediatric Center, your child will be assigned a Primary Care Provider (PCP), who will be one of our attending physicians or Pediatric Nurse Practitioners. Each attending physician has a team of residents or Physician Assistant, who train under the attending’s guidance. When you schedule an appointment with us, you may see the attending physician personally or you may see one of their residents.

Contact information

For more information or to make an appointment, call 314-268-4070. When making an appointment, please have your insurance information available.

Danis Pediatric Center is a full-service pediatric office, so we can see your child for all of their health care needs (sick appointments, school and sports physicals, immunizations, checkups, well baby examinations and more). Danis Pediatric Center is a group practice, therefore we make every effort to have your child seen by their physician or provider team. Patients are seen by appointment only. For physicals and well-baby examinations, you should call us two months prior to when the appointment is needed.

When scheduling your child for school or sports physicals, please call in late spring or early summer as our physical appointments fill up very fast during the summer.

Calls for sick child appointments should be made early in the day (our phone lines open at 7:30 am) so a time can be arranged for your child to be examined that day.

We ask you arrive to your scheduled appointment at Danis Pediatrics Center 15 minutes ahead of time. This will allow time for registration and nursing to prepare you for your appointment with your provider. If you do not arrive on time for your appointment, your physician will not be able to see you. We ask you contact us to cancel/reschedule any appointment no later than 2 hours prior to the appointment time. If you are unable to fulfill this request, the appointment will count as a no show.

Please note that we do have an appointment no-show policy (3 consecutive no-shows or 3 no-shows within a 12-month period) which may result in removal from the Danis Pediatric Center.

P-Square Parenting Program:

P-Square is both an initiative and research study through Danis Pediatrics that uses the Positive Parenting Program intervention to assist parents and caregivers in developing skills to manage their child's behavioral issues. Parents and caregivers work one-on-one with a practitioner to develop parenting plans and manage problem behaviors, all while decreasing parental stress and increasing resiliency. The intervention takes place over 4 sessions. The P-Square program is supported by the St. Louis Mental Health Board.
